Jon Malone

Founder

In 1998, Jon started coaching in Boston as a personal trainer and indoor cycling instructor. Within three years he was coaching 18–22 classes a week, became a master trainer, and was fully immersed in the fitness and health community.

He has always blended his background as a bike racer, musician/DJ, and motivational coach into classes that meet the moment with a positive, introspective vibe.

His signature B.O.A.R.D. training was born from a simple desire: to become a better surfer before hitting the beach — and wishing the strength and balance were already there to catch that first wave. That mindset has always been at the heart of his coaching: build it before you need it.

Jon’s Background

Jon grew up in a musical family which eventually led him to Berklee College of Music in Boston. While there, he started personal training and coaching on the side to finance school and chasing musical dreams.

Now, with over 20 years in the health and fitness industry, Jon has become not only a consummate coach and trainer, but a well-versed competitive athlete. He shares the lessons and insights today with coaching and the shared vision of self improvement.
